The Plaza Retail Collection and Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) collaborated for the first time to host a private shopping night previewing the most unique selection of luxury purveyors in New York City. The exclusive event provided a first glimpse of the collection for some of New York’s most influential fashion insiders as well as top industry professionals from around the world. Proceeds from the evening, and opening week (October 22nd – October 29th), benefited the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer initiative.


Fashionistas and philanthropists including Katie Lee Joel, Hana Soukupova, Fabiola Beracasa,  Dr. Lisa Airan, Erin Fetherston, Olivia Palermo, Italo Zucchelli, Jackie Astier, Maggie Norris, Bentley Meeker, Jon and Michelle Marie Heinemann, Anait Kiladze and Holly Dunlap were on hand to peruse the new collection of luxury boutiques including Kenneth Jay Lane, Domenico Vacca, Helen Yarmak, Eton, MCM and Vertu, and to lend their support to this great cause.


The Plaza Retail Collection is a carefully curated collection of boutiques culled from around the world in one iconic location. Housed in The Plaza’s expansive Grand Concourse, throughout the mezzanine and main lobby, The Plaza Retail Collection is specifically tailored to embody The Plaza tradition and aesthetic through leading designers and tastemakers in the worlds of fashion, beauty, décor and cuisine.


Fashion Targets Breast Cancer is a philanthropic initiative of the Council of Fashion Designers of America/CFDA Foundation, and is the fashion industry’s response to the impact of breast cancer.    The campaign, with its iconic blue-on-blue bull’s-eye logo, involves the nation’s leading designers, retailers, media and models.
