in New York

Thursday
evening,
June 7,
2012.

special Gala
was
celebrated
on the
anniversary
of the
historic IAF
attack on
the nuclear
reactor in
Iraq on June
7, 1981.
Throughout
the evening,
distinguished
speakers
paid tribute
to the
IAFCF’s
accomplishments,
among them
Israel
Prime
Minister
Benjamin
Netanyahu,
IAF
Commander
Major
General Amir
Eshel,
Mr.
Rudolph
Giuliani,
107th
Mayor of New
York, H.E.
Mr. Ron
Prosor,
Ambassador
of Israel to
the United
Nations and
Rabbi
Arthur
Schneier,
Spiritual
Leader of
the Park
East
Synagogue,
New York
City.
International
singer and
songwriter
Liel
Kolet
provided the
entertainment
throughout
the evening.
This
inaugural
event
created a
strong
foundation
for the
future of
the
organization
in the USA
and its
continued
support of
the programs
and
activities
of the IAF
Center. The
Israel Air
Force Center
Foundation
in the USA
represents
and works on
behalf of
the Israel
Air Force
Center in
Israel. The
IAF Center
is a vibrant
hub of
Israel‘s
finest
thinkers and
decorated
veterans,
with a
comprehensive
understanding
of the
requisite
needs to
sustain
aerial
security as
well as to
break new
frontiers in
aviation and
space
technology.
It is this
incredible
source of
knowledge
and
achievement
which the
Center uses
to train,
educate and
inspire
Israeli
youth with
the purpose
of setting
their
ambitions
towards
being
exemplary
leaders and
soldiers,
working to
build a
stronger
nation
through the
National
Center for
Leadership
and
Character
Development
In his
recorded
message to
the gala
participants,
PM Netanyahu
said:
“Following
64 years of
independence,
Israel
existence is
still
threatened,
as well as
the
wellbeing of
the world
Jewry.” PM
Netanyahu
commended
the IAF
Center for
its
innovative
aeronautical
studies and
youth
leadership
development
program, and
thanked the
IAFCF
supporters
for
demonstrating
their unity
and
partnership
for the
achievements
reached thus
far.
In his
address as
keynote
speaker,
Mayor
Giuliani
reiterated
the fact
that Israel
is the only
democracy in
the Middle
East and
therefore
the only
true ally of
the United
States in
the region.
Mayor
Giuliani
encouraged
event
attendees to
visit Israel
and praised
the crowd
for their
support of
the IAF
Center,
which
strengthens
Israel’s
future.
