MELISSA RIVERS JOINS BOARD OF DIRECTORS AT
GODS LOVE WE DELIVER

Daughter to Carry On Legacy at Beloved Charity
March 19, 2015 - Gods Love We Deliver, a non-profit
organization that cooks and home delivers nutritious meals
for people with life-altering illnesses in the New York
metropolitan area, is pleased to announce that Melissa
Rivers has joined its Board of Directors.
It is an absolute honor to welcome Melissa to our Board of
Directors, says Karen Pearl, President & CEO of Gods Love
We Deliver. We know Melissa will bring so much passion,
dedication and talent to advancing our mission.
Joan Rivers was a beloved friend of God's Love for over 25
years, and a member of the Board of Directors since 1994.
Throughout her years of service with God's Love We Deliver,
Joan demonstrated deep commitment, compassion and
generosity. In 2009, Joan won over $500,000 for God's Love
on the NBC reality competition, Celebrity Apprentice.
Most people who see Melissa Rivers on the red carpet are
unaware that she is not only a glamorous and beautiful style
maven, but also an Ivy League graduate, the single mother of
a teenage son, an accomplished equestrian, as well as an
author, television producer and philanthropist.
Melissas professional accomplishments are extensive and
inspiring. Together with her mother, Joan Rivers, she
created the Red Carpet franchise and phenomenon. In her
current role as an Executive Producer of E! Entertainments Fashion
Police, Melissa shares with viewers her candor, quick
wit and meticulous eye for fashion, which she honed
throughout her years covering the red carpet for the TV
Guide Channel and E!. She also starred opposite her mother
for four seasons of WEtvs hit reality series, Joan &
Melissa: Joan Knows Best? In addition, she appeared on
the second season of Celebrity Apprentice, and traded
places with Bristol Palin in Celebrity Wife Swap.
For more than two decades Ive supported the life-changing,
life-saving work, that Gods Love does, says Rivers.
Today, they cook and deliver more than 1.3 million meals a
year to people living with cancer, HIV/AIDS and other
serious illnesses. Im honored to join the Board of this
organization my mother so deeply loved, and that is loved by
so many, and continue to be a proud member of the Gods Love
community.
Melissa has been a friend of Gods Love for many years,
delivering meals with her mother and Cooper, on
Thanksgiving. The staff, volunteers and Board of Gods Love
are honored to have her join the leadership of Gods Love,
continuing her mothers legacy and commitment to the clients
she was so dedicated to serving.
As demand for our services continues to grow, we are
grateful that Melissa is joining our Board of Directors,
continues Pearl. We know that with her many years of
dedication to our mission, she will be a voice for our
clients, our volunteers and our community. This is a
wonderful moment for Gods Love.

Gods Love is the New York metropolitan areas leading
provider of life-sustaining meals and nutritional counseling
for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an
HIV/AIDS service organization, today Gods Love provides for
people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. Gods
Love cooks and home-delivers the specific, nutritious meals
a clients severe illness and treatment so urgently require.
Meals are individually tailored for each client by a team of
Registered Dietitians, and all clients have access to
unlimited nutrition counseling. Gods Love supports families
by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of
its clients. All of the agencys services are provided free
