All About Me, a new
Broadway musical comedy spectacular with Michael
Feinstein and Dame Edna Everage opened at The
Henry Miller’s Theatre. In the audience to
celebrate were Liza Minnelli, Barbara Walters,
Joel Grey, Arlene Dahl, Judge Judy
(who married Michael and his long time partner
Terrence Flannery), Judith Light,Elvis Costello,
Diana Frall, Jim Dale, Nick Ashford & Valerie
Simpson, Elaine Stritch, Celeste Holme and an
SRO crowd of fans.
Michael Feinstein
last appeared on Broadway in 1990 in Michael
Feinstein in Concert: Piano and Voice and
performed on Broadway in 1988 in both Michael
Feinstein in Concert: Isn't It Romantic and in
Michael Feinstein in Concert. He received a
special Drama Desk Award in 1988 for celebrating
American musical theater songs in 1988. This is
Dame Edna's third return to Broadway, following
her smash hit (and Tony & Drama Desk
Award-winning) Dame Edna: The Royal Tour in
1999, and 2004's Tony Nominated Dame Edna: Back
with a Vengeance.
All About Me
is written by Christopher Durang, Dame Edna and
Michael Feinstein with direction by Casey
Nicholaw. The show is produced by Jeffrey
Richards, Jerry Frankel, Terry Allen Kramer,
Stewart F. Lane, Bonnie Comley and Irv Weltzer.
