ABOUT THE EVELYN ALEXANDER WILDLIFE RESCUE CENTER OF THE HAMPTONS:

The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons is a nonprofit wildlife hospital dedicated to the rehabilitation of injured, sick and orphaned wild animals in order to return them to their natural habitat. The Center is a full-time professional wildlife hospital staffed by veterinarians, licensed rehabilitators, biologists, animal behaviorists and volunteers. The Center also provides educational programs to local elementary and secondary schools, and invites students from local colleges participate in cooperative education programs and internships. A grassroots organization, the Center has grown from a few concerned friends to a group of more than 1,000 members and supporters, and receives more than 10,000 requests for information or assistance each year. Located in a unique and irreplaceable ecosystem, the facility consists of salt and fresh water wetlands, pine barrens, deciduous forest and meadowland. The hospital at the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center is designed exclusively for wild animals. Unlike veterinary hospitals, the space is free of any ambient noises or smells to stress the animals that are recovering within. The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 corporation. A financial report is on file with the NYS Attorney Generalís Office, Charities Bureau at www.charitiesnys.org
