Dr. Henry Kissinger,
a Nobel Peace Prize winner, served as Secretary of
State and US National Security Advisor under Richard
Nixon and Gerald Ford in the 1970s. His diplomatic
relations during his years in office with the Soviet
Union, China and Vietnam remain important historical
moments to be studied and remembered. Kissinger
currently serves as a member of the Defense Policy
Board and is the Chairman of Kissinger Associates,
an international consulting firm.
James Chanos,
a New York City based hedge-fund manager, is known
for his innovate short-selling investment strategy
and talent for finding overvalued stock. He was one
of the first people to identify the overstating of
Enron’s earnings in late 2000, and was very
successful throughout the next year as he short sold
their stock based on his early knowledge of
problematic Enron corporation, an important event in
American economic history. His celebrated short-sale
of Enron shares was dubbed by Barron’s as
“the market call of the decade, if not the past
fifty years.” Chanos is currently the managing
Partner of Kynikos Associates LP. |
