When Patricia Kennedy invites friend from out of town to
support her favorite cause, it’s not just a come to my party
invitation but a five day schedule of activities to share with
her pals the best New York has to offer. Saturday evening the
gracious hostess (looking stunning in shimmering black
Christian Lacroix with huge black& white diamond encrusted
pearl earrings from De Grisogono) presided over an elegant
dinner at Sirio Maccioni’s hotspot Circo, It was a very
special treat for her pals who had flown in from as far as
London for this week’s Career Transition for Dancers Dance
Rocks Gala which the lovely Patricia is co-chairing with Allen
Brill, CEO & president of ROLEX USA .
What with all the catching up, it took the fashionable crowd
almost two hours to finally sit for dinner which is usually
the case at the Maccioni’s colorfully circus themed restaurant
which lends itself so well for table hopping. Dining on the
creamy risotto – a Circo specialty – branzino and too decadent
to even think of touching desserts were jeweler Aaron Basha,
self-described “Egg lady” the delightful Mitzi Perdue of
Perdue Farms fame, Nancy Collins, Ginny Mancini widow of the
brilliant composer Henry Mancini, media powerhouse and Quills
Literacy Foundation chairman Gerry Byrne and his elegant wife
Liz, Jami Baldwin, Jacqueline von Rohrscheidt, Andrea Siben,
CTFD executive director Alexander Dube , designers Mitchel
Moore and Charles Burke.
Taking a break from dinner, Patricia and several of her pals
dashed across the street to City Center to pose in front of
the huge Dance Rocks poster! Rock out girls!
The next day Patricia took her whole “Rock Band” to see
Stewart Lane and Bonnie Comley’s Broadway smash Legally Blonde
where they were dancing in the aisles!
