Miracle Birdies Donors Eligible to Win Trip for Two
to Tour Championship by Coca Cola
SALT LAKE CITY
(June 30, 2011) - Children's Miracle Network Hospitals'
), a charity that raises funds for 170 children's hospitals
across North America, and 2010 PGA Tour Player of the Year
and 2010 FedEx Cup champion Jim Furyk, announced today a new
incentive program for Miracle Birdies supporters.
Miracle Birdies, a
fundraising program in which individuals, groups and
sponsors can make a monetary pledge for each time Furyk
makes a birdie during his tournament play in 2011, is now
offering an ongoing incentive for individuals to donate to
their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital to help save
children's lives. One TaylorMade R11 Driver will be given
away each week that Furyk is signed up to play on the PGA
Tour between now and the Children's Miracle Network
Hospitals Classic in October. The drawing will take place
after Furyk tees off the week of each applicable tournament.
In addition, a
grand prize trip for two to the Tour Championship by Coca
Cola, Sept. 22 to 25, including airfare, accommodations and
VIP tickets to the FedEx Cup final in Atlanta, will be
awarded on Monday, Sept. 6. To be eligible for all
giveaways, individuals can make a donation to their local
children's hospital by visiting
http://www.miraclebirdies.com/. Donors who signed up for
the Miracle Birdies program prior to the introduction of the
incentive program will still be included in the drawings.
Terms and conditions apply; visit
http://www.miraclebirdies.com/ for details.
"Jim Furyk continues to be a strong
voice in encouraging his supporters to raise funds to help
save the lives of children at our children?s hospitals,"
said John Lauck, president and CEO of Children?s Miracle
Network Hospitals. "This incentive program will create even
more excitement around the Miracles Birdies program and
further motivate individuals to get involved in this
important cau se."
The 2011 Miracle
Birdies campaign, which launched in April at the Heritage
PGA TOUR golf tournament, will continue throughout the 2011
golf season. Once signed up, individuals are billed for
birdies made by Jim Furyk during PGA Tour-sanctioned events.
For example, if an individual pledges $0.50 per birdie and
Furyk reaches his 2010 birdie count of 268 birdies, the
individual's entire donation would amount to $134.

it's needed the most. When a donation is given it stays in
the community, ensuring that every dollar is helping local
kids. Since 1983, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals has
raised more than $4 billion, most of it $1
at a time. These donations have gone to purchase
equipment, support research and training and pay for
