Lobster, Libations, Live Music and More! A summer celebration
was held on Saturday evening, July 14th at the East Hampton
home of Jane and Jack Rivkin. Over 120 supporters of Safe
Horizon gathered to celebrate the fine work of the Council and
to learn about the work of Safe Horizon. An intimate beachside
dinner, created by The Seafood Shop of East Hampton was served
while guests enjoyed the Caribbean music of a steel drum band.
During dinner, Safe Horizon board member, Jane Rivkin
congratulated the Junior Council on their accomplishments and
applauded their efforts. During the past year, the Council has
brought in over 700 new individual donors raising over
$60,000. Co-chairs Anna Richardson and John Ordway spoke about
the missions and goals for the coming year and thanked all the
guests for their continued support. Richardson said “We hope
that each of you are as inspired as we are by the work of Safe
Horizon and will not only continue to support our efforts
raising funds and awareness, but continue to reach out to your
friends and get them involved in this cause”.
Following dinner, 600 guests gathered for an after-party at
the hot and hip DUNE Southampton . From 10 pm to the wee
