Crystal and 12-time Olympic
medalist Dara Torres have
been added to the field of
the 19th annual Chris Evert/Raymond
James Pro-Celebrity Tennis
Classic, which will be held
Nov. 1 and 2 at the Delray
Beach Tennis Center in
Delray Beach, Fla.
Crystal and Torres, who are
both making their first
appearances at the event,
will
join an impressive
collection of stars from the
entertainment and sports
world for two days of tennis
action. Among the stars
scheduled to join Chris
Evert are tennis greats Jim
Courier, Jana Novotna,
Lindsay Davenport, Murphy
Jensen and Vince Spadea.
They will be joined by
television stars Scott Foley
(“The Unit”), Alan Thicke
(“Growing Pains”), Maeve
Quinlan (“90210”), comedian
and film stars Chevy Chase
(“Saturday Night Live”) Jon
Lovitz (“Saturday Night
Live”), musician Gavin
Rossdale, newsman Stone
Phillips, tennis journalist
and hall of famer Bud
Collins and golfing legend
Greg Norman. Motown legends
The Commodores will perform
at the annual Gala, which
will be held Saturday, Nov.
1 at the Boca Raton Resort
and Club.
Billy Crystal is one of the
most versatile and popular
figures in the entertainment
industry, finding success in
front of the camera, as a
performer in film and
television, and behind the
scenes as a writer, director
and producer. Crystal broke
Broadway's box office
records and won the 2006
Tony Award for his
autobiographical one-man
show, "700 Sundays." He has
hosted the Grammy Awards
three times and the Oscars
eight times.
As the first U.S. swimmer to
compete in five Olympic
Games, Dara Torres has set
three World records and won
12 Olympic medals, including
four gold medals during her
impressive career. At 41,
she won three silver medals
at this year’s Beijing
Olympics. Outside of
swimming, Torres has made a
name for herself as a TV
commentator and a print
model and was the first
athlete to appear in the
Sports Illustrated swimsuit
issue in 1994.

benefiting the Ounce of
Prevention Fund and the Drug
Abuse Foundation of Palm

series tickets are $70 and
individual single day seats
are $20 and $40. Box seats
range from $90 to $900.

at all levels. The tennis
competition is scheduled for
11 a.m. on both Saturday,
Nov. 1, and Sunday, Nov. 2,
at the Delray Beach Tennis
Center. Individual tickets
and patron packages for the
Gala, ranging from 750 to
$35,000, are currently
available through Chris
Evert Charities. A special
ticket package, combining
the November Chris Evert
Pro-Celebrity and the Delray
Beach International Tennis
Championships, the ATP Tour
event held February 23 –
March 1 at the same venue,
also is available this year.
Called the “Delray Beach
Double Pack”, the package
includes one general
admission ticket for both
the Saturday and Sunday
sessions at the Chris Evert
Pro-Celebrity and one
general admission ticket for
any two sessions held Monday
through Thursday at the
Delray Beach
International Tennis
Championships. The “Delray
Beach Double Pack”
sells for $50. Since its
inception in 1989, stars

raise funds for programs to
fight drug abuse and assist
neglected and abused
children in Florida. To
date, the Chris Evert/Raymond
James Pro-Celebrity has
