A Torch of Freedom:
Holiday Tribute for Our
Troops; is a
spectacular inaugural
affair to salute our men
and women of the Armed
Forces. The event
will take place on December 14th,
2008 at Nokia Theater in
New York City.
A Torch of Freedom is
being coordinated by
NewYork.com in
conjunction with the
Soldiers', Sailors',
Marines', Coast Guard
and Airmen's Club, Inc (SSMAC).
It will serve as a
kick-off to annual high
profile benefit events
commencing in 2009.
These events will raise
much-needed funds for
SSMAC and present
aspiring performing
artists with the
opportunity to earn
their sought after fame
in New York City.
For
close to ninety years,
the Soldiers’, Sailors’,
Marines’, Coast Guard &
Airmen’s Club has taken
care of our men and
women of the Armed
Forces. They offer well
maintained club and
lodging rooms at very
affordable rates to both
military members and
their families.
Presently, SSMAC is
working alongside the
Department of Labor to
develop a job training
and placement program
for veterans and
military personnel
entering the civilian
community.

Time” (Rolling Stone

Franklin. Although, we
are still searching for
