"Every Day Heroes" and
we will be holding it at
the Rainbow Room on
Tuesday, February 10,
2009. We will be
honoring Angela Diaz,
MD, President of the
Children's Aid Society,
Professor of Pediatrics
for Mt. Sinai School of
Medicine and Director
of the Mt. Sinai
Adolescent Care Center -
Hoda Kotb from the Today
Show will be our guest
speaker, and Juliet Papa
from 1010 Wins News
Radio will Emcee the
event.
This luncheon is a
for-women-only annual
fundraising event that
benefits East End
Hospice's Camp Good
Grief. This year's theme
is "Every Day Heroes"
Camp Good grief is a
free of charge summer
camp that is available
to any child aged 4 to
15 who has experienced
the devastating loss of
a parent or loved one.
Through the use of art
therapy, group therapy
and social activities,
grieving children learn
the necessary tools and
skills needed to
effectively deal with
loss.
East End Hospice is a
New York State Certified
Hospice that provides
end of life care to
patients and families
that live in the
communities on the east
end of Long Island. No
one is ever denied care
due to inability to pay
for services.
