The Saks Fifth Avenue store
in Stamford Town Center will
host a charity shopping weekend
from Thursday, Oct. 16 through
Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008 to benefit
patients at Stamford Hospital’s
Bennett Cancer Center. The “Key
To The Cure” event is designed
to raise money for early
detection and cures for women’s
cancers. The local charity
fundraiser is part of a larger
promotion that is taking place
in Saks Fifth Avenue stores
across the country in
partnership with EIF’S Women’s
Cancer Fund and with the ongoing
support of Mercedes-Benz USA.
Under the motto “Compassion is
always in Fashion,” the Stamford
Saks Fifth Avenue store will
donate two percent of all sales
made during the charity weekend
to the Bennett Cancer Center.
Over the last five years, the
Key To The Cure event has raised
more than $35,000 for area
cancer center patients.
