Fourth Annual Children & Parents Day Winter Wonderland

set for Sunday, January 11, 2009

Event theme is Candy Land

Boynton Beach, Florida - - - On Sunday, January 11, 2009, at 12 Noon to 4pm, the Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History will be hosting its fourth annual Children & Parents Day Winter Wonderland.

Year 2009 will also mark the tenth anniversary of the Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History and the fourth Children & Parents Day will be one of the celebratory events for the anniversary.  The theme for the 2009 Winter Wonderland is Candy Land inspired by the 1950s board game of the same name.

The Honorary Chairpersons for the 2009 Children & Parents Day are Kristin and Glen Calder of Boynton Beach, Florida.  Kristin is the immediate past president of the Junior League Boca Raton and the Public Relations and Annual Giving Director at the Bethesda Hospital Foundation; and Glen Calder is the President of TransMedia Group of Boca Raton

“We are honored to be a part of such a special event that provides children and their families with a fun day of learning and play,” says Kristin Calder. “Our family is excited to share in the Winter Wonderland “Candy Land” experience with the entire community, so please save the date and come join us,” she adds.

Returning again as the Master of Ceremony is Paige Kornblue who is the Reporter/Anchor for WPTV Channel 5"I am delighted to be a part of Children & Parents Day Winter Wonderland once again! This event brings families and communities together and is such fun,"
 says Paige Kornblue.

This annual family event is consistently sold-out with capacity attendance of visitors from throughout South Florida and Central Florida too.  Children & Parents Day will be held again at the historic 1925 Boynton Woman’s Club in Boynton Beach, Florida.

The purpose of this festive program is to provide a fun-filled day of family adventures with arts, crafts and history education activities for children. The interactive activities will include various types of Winter-theme arts & crafts plus, magic show and story book readings.  The attendees for the event are multi-generational who are equally engaged by the stimuli created from the activities at the event.  The arts and crafts at the event will help to encourage motor-skill development along with teaching the ability to identify, create and design art using geometric shapes and primary colors.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for Children & Parents Day.  For more information, call 561-243-2662
