hosting its
fourth annual
Children &
Parents Day
Winter
Wonderland.
Year 2009 will also
mark the tenth
anniversary of
the Museum of
Lifestyle & Fashion
History and the
fourth Children &
Parents Day will be
one of the
celebratory events
for the
anniversary. The
theme for the 2009
Winter Wonderland is
Candy Land
inspired by the
1950s board game of
the same name.
The Honorary
Chairpersons for the
2009 Children &
Parents Day are
Kristin and Glen
Calder of
Boynton Beach,
Florida.
Kristin is the
immediate past
president of the
Junior League Boca
Raton and the Public
Relations and Annual
Giving Director at
the Bethesda
Hospital Foundation;
and Glen Calder is
the President of
TransMedia Group of
Boca Raton.

provides children
and their families
with a fun day of
learning and play,”

This annual family
event is
consistently
sold-out with
capacity attendance
of visitors from
throughout South
Florida and
Central Florida
too. Children &
Parents Day will be
held again
at the historic 1925
Boynton Woman’s Club
in
Boynton Beach, Florida.
The purpose of this
festive program is
to provide a
fun-filled day of
family adventures
with arts, crafts
and history
education activities
for children. The
interactive
activities will
include various
types of
Winter-theme arts &
crafts plus, magic
show and story book
readings. The
attendees for the
event are
multi-generational
who are equally
engaged by the
stimuli created from
the activities at
the event. The arts
and crafts at the
event will help to
encourage
motor-skill
development along
with teaching the
ability to identify,
create and design
art using geometric
shapes and primary
colors.
