Spectacular Celebration Unveils Final Plans for
Alzheimer’s Community Care Gala



West Palm Beach, FL – “Casa Carioca,” a fabulous 13,000 square foot estate at the Bear’s Club in Jupiter was the breathtaking setting for a gift gathering party heralding final plans for the upcoming Alzheimer’s Community Care gala Carnival in Rio. The home was generously donated for use as the celebration venue, by Dan Reedy of Offshore Construction Development. 

The more than 200 guests in attendance enjoyed dinner and refreshments courtesy of Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Southern Wine and Spirits, Seasons 52, Perfect Vodka, Leblon and Red Bull.  Guests were also treated to a sample of the gala’s planned entertainment with a Brazilian samba exhibition by the international ballroom dance team of Warren and Babette Brown.

Carnival in Rio, the highly anticipated black-tie gala, benefiting Alzheimer’s Community Care, is scheduled for Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Mar-a-Lago Club, Palm Beach.  Gala Chairs are Geri and Frank Morrow, Honorary Chair is Hermé de Wyman Miro, Host Chairs are Donald and Melania Trump and the Celebrity Chair is Lainie Kazan. Entertainment will feature the Steven Chase Orchestra, a Brazilian Dance Troupe and Warren and Babette Brown.

An impressive group of generous corporate benefactors have contributed their support to Carnival in Rio. They include:  Braman Motorcars Palm Beach, Mont Blanc, Rosenberg Diamonds & Co.,Tyco/ADT Security Services and TD Bank.  Celebrity Cruises, one of the world’s top-rated large cruise lines and Indian River Travel, have provided the fabulous Grand Raffle Prize, an exciting 14-day, 13-night European cruise for two.


Incredible auction items are a signature of the Alzheimer’s Community Care gala, and this year’s selections are no exception.  The Silent Auction will include a wide array of jewelry, home accessories, travel, sports and entertainment gifts.  The live auction will feature: a beautiful floral motif diamond and ruby necklace, 5.00 ct. total weight of round brilliant diamonds with 22 cabochon rubies, a combined total weight of approximately 40.0 ct., valued at $45,000, courtesy of Rosenberg Diamonds; your choice of a 2009 Mini-Cooper convertible or clubman automobile with options and upgrades, compliments of Braman Mini of Palm Beach, valued at $26,000; Montblanc his and hers solid gold timepieces, courtesy of Montblanc Palm Beach Gardens, with a combined value of $16,750 as well as an exciting international vacation package.  All live auction and grand silent auction items can be bid on-line at
