WEST PALM BEACH, FL. (December 5, 2008) – Guests
gathered Thursday, November 13 at Dania Beach’s
Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA) as top local,
national and international designers unveiled their
latest creations - room renderings for the upcoming
33rd American Red Cross Designers’ Show
House. The Show House, an event benefiting the
Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter of the American Red
Cross, will be open to the public January
15 – February 14 and will feature the Providencia
House, a historic home located at 1125 North Flagler
Drive in the heart of West Palm Beach’s Providencia
Park neighborhood.
“The designers have set the bar high and presented
fantastic concepts for this year’s house,” said
Desmond Keogh, returning for the fourth time as
General Chairman of the Red Cross Designers’ Show
House. “Having such a talented and dedicated team
of participants promises to make this a Show House
to remember.”
After a presentation in the DCOTA auditorium, more
than 50 guests— including designers, event chairmen,
American Red Cross supporters and friends— gathered
in the PierceMartin Showroom for a wine and cheese
reception. Guests mingled throughout the showroom
featuring a full-service, multi-line collection of
the finest bamboo, wicker, rattan, iron, wood,
lighting, and Pacific Rim antiques and rarities.
In
addition to featuring the work of 18 acclaimed
design firms, the 2009 Designers’ Show House will
include a guest lecture by Honorary Chair and
internationally renowned interior designer,
Charlotte Moss.
Ticket Prices and Admission
General admission tickets to the Show House are
$30. Special pricing is available for groups of ten
or more. The Show House will be open Monday through
Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from
12 p.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the
American Red Cross Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter.

About the 2009 Designers’ Show House
The Designers’ Show House, from January 15 –
February 14, 2009, is a much-anticipated annual
event, bringing together acclaimed designers who
will design and decorate the historic 1936 luxury
home at 1125 North Flagler Drive in Providencia Park
room-by-room. The Show House will welcome
nationally-known interior designers in addition to
those from South Florida. The event will also
incorporate the exterior and pool area with
landscape designers lending their artistic touches
to the Show House.
This year’s dedicated committee includes Desmond and
Cristina Keogh, General Chairmen; Charlotte Moss,
Honorary Chairman; Stephen Mooney and Bill Kopp,
Design Chairmen; Keith
Williams, Landscape Chairman; Frank Maguire,
