New York City, May 30, 2007. The Kaufman Center presented a
Benefit Gala that honored Bruce Mosler, Paul Ingrassia and
John Schaefer. The event was held at The Mandarin Oriental
Hotel in the North and Grand Salons.
The evening began at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception and
silent auction, followed by a seared dinner at 7 p.m. The
dinner featured performances by a host of
renowned artists.
The silent auction items included a box at Justin Timberlake's
August concert at Madison Square Garden, a week in a private
home on Cat Island, Bahamas and a Tali Gillette diamond and
white gold "Mama" necklace, as seen on Gwyneth Paltrow
and Jennifer Garner.
Bruce Mosler was presented with the Distinguished Service
Award and Paul Ingrassia received the Corporate Leadership
Award. John Schaefer was honored with the Creative Arts Award,
presented by Meredith Monk.
Honorary Chairs for the event were Laurie Anderson, Marilyn
Bergman, Elaine and Henry Kaufman, Ken Lipper, Meredith Monk
and Peter Schickele.

Proceeds from the Gala benefited The Kaufman Center's
education programs and the Merkin Hall Concert Season.
