Russell Simmons hosted his 3rd Annual Rush Philanthropic Arts
Foundation in Palm Beach recently at the oceanfront estate of
Robert and Linnette Miller. The honorees in included
Grammy-Award winning singer Ludacris, philanthropist Rena
Rowan Damone joined by her husband Vic Damone, and Miami
Heat’s Alonzo Mourning and his wife Tracy. Over 500 guests
including Jr. Co-Chairs Jordann, Michelle and Holly Miller,
who beat a snow storm in new York City to make the event just
in time, Event Chair Angie McNamara, NBA All-Star Patrick
Ewing, Danny Simmons, Joseph “Rev. Run” Simmons, his wife
Justine Simmons, and their family from MTV’s smash hit “Run’s
House” which just got picked up for a second season which
started airing in April, Leslie Linder, philanthropist Diane
N. Weiss, Rush Philanthropic’s Tangie Murray, Frances Hayward,
Serena Williams, and Miami Dolphin’s Jason Taylor and his wife
Katina raised $600,000 for arts education programs benefiting
disadvantaged children in both palm Beach County and New York
City. |
