Description:
The World Police & Fire Games are the second
largest multi-sport event in the world
behind the Summer Olympics. Consisting of
active and retired police officers and
firefighters, the 2011 World Police & Fire
Games and Memorial Inc. was responsible for
organizing, presenting and winning the bid
for the 2011 World Police & Fire Games. Our
goal, in
New York
in 2011, is to make the Games the largest
and most memorable sporting event in the
greatest city in the world.
The program is
set to include a silent auction with
proceeds to benefit the funding of the 2011
Games. John Flaherty, YES Network announcer
and former New York Yankees catcher, will
serve as Master of Ceremonies for the Gala.
