For the 20th consecutive year, the Chris Evert / Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Classic will bring the best of the entertainment and tennis worlds together in South Florida for two days of fun-filled tennis and activities.

The 2009 event will be held Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8 with the tennisset for at the Delray Beach Tennis Center in Delray Beach and the annual Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Gala scheduled for Saturday, November 7 at the Boca Raton Resort and Club in Boca Raton.

Since the first event in 1989, the Chris Evert / Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic has raised more than $17.8 million to help abused and neglected children in South Florida. Chris Evert Charities partners with the Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida, a public-private partnership in conjunction with the state of Florida to raise money supporting programs for at-risk children.

In past years the event has featured tennis legends and standouts Martina Navratilova, John McEnroe, Anna Kournikova, Jim Courier, Jana Novotna, Lindsay Davenport, Luke Jensen and Murphy Jensen; former President George H.W. Bush; actors Billy Crystal, Matthew Perry, Scott Foley, Chevy Chase, Jon Lovitz and Maeve Quinlan; musician Gavin Rossdale, golfing great Greg Norman; newsman Stone Phillips and other greats from the worlds of tennis and entertainment.

The annual Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Gala will feature an evening of music, silent and live auctions and dinner and dancing at the renowned Boca Raton Resort and Club. Past featured entertainers have included Gloria Estefan, Kenny Loggins, The Commodores, Gladys Knight and Sheena Easton.

Box ticket packages range from $175 to $900, with individual box seats for $90. Children age 10 and under are free if accompanied by a paid adult in the general admission section. Gala tickets are $750 each.
