Friendly’s Ice Cream
Corporation is celebrating its traditional
Valentine’s Day fundraiser to benefit Easter Seals
and children with disabilities. Friendly’s
in Palm Springs will hold a “Celebrity Scoop Night”
on February 5 from 5 – 7 p.m. where Virginia Lang
from Wild 95.5 and Jay Cashmere from WPTV
NewsChannel 5 will be scooping up ice cream for
guests to enjoy. Tips from the evening will go to
Easter Seals Florida to benefit programs and
services for the children with special needs and
disabilities.
Between now and February 13, each Friendly’s
Restaurant guest who makes a $1 Easter Seals
donation will receive five Kids’ Valentine’s Day
cards redeemable for free Kid ice cream cones
plus $5 off a $25 purchase coupon for parents.
Friendly’s locations are in Boynton Beach, Delray
Beach, Palm Springs and Royal Palm Beach.

WHY:
Funds raised will support Easter Seals Camp
Challenge in Sorrento, FL. Thanks to Camp
Challenge, children and adults are able to build a
sense of independence and accomplishment. Camp
provides an opportunity for kids and adults with
disabilities to be included in regular camp
activities including swimming, arts and crafts,
fishing, music recreation, and nature trail walks.
Easter Seals Igoe-Amar Child Development Center in
West Palm Beach is the area’s only full-time center
for children of ALL abilities. Easter Seals’ helps
children with disabling conditions due to birth,
disease, accident or injury by providing physical,
speech, occupational and behavioral therapies made
available in a pre-school setting. These services
help children for success in school while affording
parents the opportunity to continue their careers or
education.
