Children's
Benefit
Gala at

Waldorf=Astoria,

Avenue

Streets,
in
Manhattan.
The
evening
will
begin
with a
cocktail
reception
at 6:30
p.m.
followed
by
dinner
at 7:30
p.m. The
evening
honors
violin
virtuoso
and
Education
Through
Music
Advisory
Board
member
Joshua
Bell
with
introduction
from
Joanne
Woodward
about
his
longtime
support
of music
education.
In
addition
to a
live
auction
and
dancing,
Mr. Bell
will
perform
a
musical
selection
accompanied
by
children
from
Education
Through
Music.
Karen
Karlsrud
is the
Gala
Chair.
Proceeds
will
benefit
Education
Through
Music, a
non-profit
organization
dedicated
to
bringing
music
instruction
to
at-risk
children
who
would
otherwise
have no
or
limited
exposure
to the
arts.
Benefit

$5,000
to
$25,000.
