RACC 2009 GALA
The
Russian American Cultural Center is
excited to be celebrating its 11th
Anniversary and the extraordinary
success of our exhibition
HOMAGE TO DIAGHILEV’s
ENDURING LEGACY.
Rediscovered Gems of
the 20th Century.
This exhibition, curated by Regina
Khidekel at the Harriman Institute
of Columbia University in Spring 09
in conjunction with the Centennial
Celebration of the Ballets Russes,
is going to be presented on a grand
scale at the spectacular Ana Tzarev
Gallery, located at 24 West 57th
Street.
It is with great anticipation that
we announce the
2009 RACC Gala,
which will support the center’s
educational programs, an upcoming
groundbreaking exhibit of emerging
Russian-American artists, and the
establishment of a permanent home
for the Center. This new home will
include a museum for our unique and
ever growing art collection. The
event will be highly publicized and
advertised in press and TV.
The
centerpiece of the evening along
with our outstanding exhibition on
stage design,
HOMAGE TO DIAGHILEV’s
ENDURING LEGACY,
will be a unique art performance
combining fine art, opera, and Avant
– garde theatre. Created by a team
of up and coming composers,
musicians, dancers and singers, it
promises to be a riveting
manifestation of the power, vitality
and beauty of art and theater.
The
Gala will also feature a silent and
live art auction, cocktail
reception, buffet dinner, live
music, and fashion extravaganza. Our
stunning 72-page exhibition catalog
will be our gift for our guests.
The
dress code this year is chic and
arty. We look forward to seeing you
