HOUSTON, TX - Society for the Performing Arts,
bringing the World’s best to Houston, just
announced that this year’s annual luncheon will
have a new twist. SPA is thrilled to unveil the
new theme “Lunch with a Houston Icon” that will
feature famed Houstonian Lynn Wyatt and will be
moderated by Houston Chronicle Social Columnist
Shelby Hodge. This year’s luncheon is being
chaired by the dynamic duo of Rosemary Schatzman
and Vanessa Sendukas and will take place on
Thursday, October 15, 2009 at River Oaks Country
Club. The event will begin with a champagne
reception at 11:30am followed by lunch
at noon.
Mrs. Wyatt will be answering questions and
sharing stories of her life of style, travel and
being involved in international society. “We
are thrilled that Lynn has agreed to join us for
the SPA luncheon. Her participation will go a
long way to help us raise much needed funds for
the education and outreach programs of SPA,”
said Rosemary Schatzman, who went on to say
“because Lynn is a native Houstonian, Vanessa
and I could think of no one better to be
involved in SPA’s inaugural Houston Icons
luncheon.”
Since 1966, Society for the Performing Arts has
built a reputation as the most innovative
community-oriented nonprofit presenting
organization in Houston. Last season, more than
100,000 Houstonians enjoyed SPA.’s
performances. All funds raised at this event
will benefit the education and outreach programs
of Society for the Performing Arts. Tickets for
this luncheon begin at $150.00 per person with
many underwriting opportunities available. For
