On Saturday, May 16, 2009, the Young Friends of Opportunity, Inc. will host a fundraiser aboard “The Spirit of Palm Beach”.   Guests will enjoy cocktails and delicious dinner bites catered by Sandy James Catering.  New York Guest DJ will provide entertainment and dancing.  On board there will be Raffle Prizes which include a Day with the WPB Sheriff, an Anushka Spa Day, a Home Make Up Party for 10, and more.

“The Spirit of Palm Beach” will depart The Palm Beach Yacht Club at 6:00 pm and will take guests along the Intracoastal bordering Palm Beach Island, with a fabulous sunset and views of the beautiful homes and tropical setting -- returning to the dock by 9:00 pm.

Lucy Webster, granddaughter of a founder of Opportunity, Inc., and Laura Zung, chair of Young Friends of Opportunity, will serve as Chairs for the event.  They are joined by committee members:  Jan Conner, Millie Dayton, Shannon Fox, Missy Geisler, Jonathan Harris, Helene Lorentzen, Laura Opdenaker, Chad Renfro, Allison Rogers Haft, Lynn Solomon and Dori Stibolt. 

Young Friends of Opportunity, Inc. mission is to support the Young Friend’s of Opportunity’s Scholarship Society and provide additional enrichment programs including dance, music, drama, art, field trips, or sports for the children of Opportunity, Inc.  Opportunity’s Scholarship Fund provides emergency tuition assistance for families with children enrolled in our early learning program who experience the loss of a job, illness, injury, or other circumstances that impact their ability to pay.  

Reservations required.  Tickets are $100 per person and the dress is tropical.
