The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center will
install the hospital's first new holiday decor in 12 years
funded by The Peter Jay Sharp Foundation and designed by Bill
Tansey. The project was set in motion 2 years ago when a
volunteer mentioned to James Gregory that the decorations were
looking a bit tired. The Center along with the spirits of the
patients and their families began brightening up for the
holidays.
The Society celebrated the new decor at a fabulous reception
held in the townhouse of the evening's underwriter Janna
Bullock. Thirty of the city's hottest fashion designers
decorated and signed a ceramic cube in their own signature
style. Meredith Waga Perez of Belle Fleur donated the cubes
then used flowers, topiaries and bulbs to complete their
transformation into unique seasonal fantasies. The
arrangements were on display and sold in a silent auction to
support the annual holiday decorations fund for the hospital.
This festive environment ensures that patients receive their
cancer care in as cheerful an environment as possible.
Jamee Gregory is Chairman, Muffie Potter Aston is Vice

with Swarovski Crystal Stars. |
