The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center's 18th
Anniversary Preview party for the Haughton International Fine
Art and Antique Dealers Show at the Park Avenue Armory was a
great success. Over 1,100 guests including the best of New
York society were dazzled by almost a billion dollars worth of
the finest art and antiques, presented by 65 dealers from
three continents. The spectacular night was underwritten by
Janna Bullock and shoe designer Taryn Rose, who greeted guests
in a receiving line with Society President Vera Safai, event
Co-chairs Joanne de Guardiola and Susan Malloy, Junior Chair
Eugenie Niven and Jamie Niven, who represented the Connoisseur
Chairmanship that included Pat Buckley and Blaine Trump.
The Preview Party is a major source of funding for the
Society, a volunteer organization whose mission is to promote
the well being of patients, support cancer research and
provide public education on the prevention, early detection
and treatment of cancer. It is the Society's 60th Anniversary. |
