RAISES RECORD-BREAKING
$300,000
FOR PEDIATRIC PATIENT

Us for a Spook-tacular
Extravaganza

Proceeds
from the
20th Annual
Light Up
a Life
benefit which raised a
record-breaking
$300,000
went to
support
hospitalized
children at
the Komansky
Center for
Children’s
Health at
NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill
Cornell
Medical
Center,
offering
them
emotional
support,
providing
cheer
through the
Child Life
Program and
the Big
Apple Circus
Clown Care
Program, and
ensuring
that
underserved
patients
will receive
the finest
medical
care,
regardless
of their
ability to
pay.
The event
attracted
1,200
children,
parents and
grandparents
who
enjoyed rides
on the
60-foot
indoor
Ferris
wheel;
exciting
performances
by
musicians,
clowns and
characters;
and
hands-on,
Halloween-themed
activities.
This
spirited
affair was
hosted by
Light Up a
Life
Honorary
Chair
Pilar Guzman,
editor-in-chief
of Cookie
magazine;
Founding
Chair
Kathleen
Burns;
Event Chairs
Cass
Adelman,
Tiffany
Moller,
Marcie
Pantzer,
