cures. It
was attended
by some of

prominent

industry and
New York
society
including

Joan
Weill,
NewYork-Presbyterian
board member
and
socialite
Charlotte
Ford, Dr.
Herbert
Pardes,
M.D.,
frequent
Today Show
commentator,
Gail M.
Saltz,
M.D.,
John P.
Leonard,
M.D.,
and Orli
R. Etingin,
M.D.
Myra Mahon
and Joan
Weill
who have
demonstrated
a long-term
commitment
to women's
health
issues, were
the
co-chairs of
the event,
which
benefited
the Iris
Cantor
Women's
Health
Center. New
York-Presbyterian
board member
and
socialite
Charlotte
Ford
made an
appearance
as well,
showing her
support.
Symposium
moderators
were

on hope for
the patient,
help for the
family.
WHS was one
of the first
programs in
the city
dedicated to
educating
women about
significant
health
issues. The
theme this
year was
Target
Cancer—Target
Cure: Hope
for the
Patient—Help
for the
Family. The
symposium
answered
questions
such as what
are your
treatment
options when
diagnosed
with Cancer.
Can you
customize
your cancer
care. What
resources
are
available to
help you and
your family
navigate the
emotional
ordeal of
coping with
a cancer
diagnosis.
