Safe
Place for Youth + COVID-19:
Founded in 2011, Safe Place for Youth's (SPY) mission is to
inspire, nurture, and empower the resilient human spirit of
homeless youth by providing immediate and lasting solutions,
one young person at a time.
SPY is the leading service provider for homeless and at-risk
youth in Los Angeles, supporting over 1,500 youth annually.
Our continuum of care includes street outreach, counseling,
health clinic services, housing programs, education and
employment support, mentorship, art workshops, basic
survival needs and more.
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, SPY's mission is more
vital than ever. Our residential programs are still up and
running 24/7, and we continue to provide basic survival
needs, case management, counseling, employment support and
essential resources to street-based youth.
