On Thursday night, July 12, 2012, Tricia and Jason Pantzer hosted a benefit for the American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra at their home in East Hampton. This benefit evening featured Jeffrey Siegel performing his Keyboard Conversations. The evening of music and mingling conveyed the essence of camaraderie and cultural interest.

The event began with a cocktail reception outdoors followed by a warm welcome by AFIPO Board Member Tricia Pantzer. Jeffrey Siegel then took the spotlight with a presentation of music and conversation in the Pantzer’s gorgeous contemporary living room. After performing on the Pantzer’s own Steinway piano, Mr. Siegel entertained questions from the audience, discussing his musical upbringing and ambition among other topics.

Dozens of patrons attended the event including Navah Perlman and Robert Frost, Roy and Frieda Furman, Stephen Rubin, Liz Robbins, Zibby Right, Pam and Ed Pantzer, Joan and Ed Cohen, Ashu Singh, Ninah and Michael Lynne, AFIPO Board Member Pamela Henes and Jonathan Henes, Steven and Susan Jacobson, Allison Berg, Hillary and Daniel Leibowitz, Lisa and Michael Barr, Julie Luchs-Smigel, Jen Harris and Cindy Mark among others.

This event comes in advance of a Carnegie Hall gala on October 25 presented by AFIPO featuring Zubin Mehta and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra with pianist Yuja Wang. With tour stops in New York, Palm Desert, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra returns to the United States in the spirit of peace and friendship.
