attendees
for the
American
Heart
Association’s
19th Annual;
Hamptons
Heart Ball
took this
year’s theme
to heart and
definitely
showed off
their “Glitz
& Glamour”.
Set under
amazing
tents on the
grounds of
the
Hayground
School in
Bridgehampton,
the American
Heart
Association,
once again
proved that
theirs was
the party to
be at on
Saturday,
June 13th raising
more than
$750,000 to
help in the
fight
against
cardiovascular
diseases and
stroke.
This year,
the Heart
Ball honored Howard
Bluver,
CEO, Suffolk
County
National
Bank with
the
Distinguished
Leadership
award and
the
Distinguished
Service
Award was
presented to David
H. Adams, MD,
Cardiac
Surgeon-in-Chief,
Mount Sinai
Health
System
Marie-Josée
and Henry R.
Kravis
Professor
and
Chairman,
Department
of
Cardiovascular
Surgery
Icahn School
of Medicine
at Mount
Sinai
and The
Mount Sinai
Hospital
President,
Mitral
Foundation. This
year’s
Hamptons
Heart Ball
was chaired
by Meredith
Cohen.
Cristina
Civetta,
heart
survivor was
Jr. Chair and Chris
Wragge,
News Anchor, CBS
2 News, Emmy-Winning
TV served
as Master
of
Ceremonies.
The live
auction,
conducted by
Chris Wragge
and Cristina
Civetta,
included
fabulous
items such a stay
in a Family
Tuscan Villa
owned by the
Civetta's
family as
well as
vintage wine
and a table
at Rao’s in
NYC. Howard
Bluver
donated one
of his own
very special
bottle of
wines that
brought the
American
Heart
Association
thousands.
Donatella
the Iron
Chef showed
off her
generosity
and donated
dinner for
10 in her
restaurant
with a
lesson in
pizza making
paired with
wine.
During the
Special
Appeal, 14
year old
heart
survivor and
dancer,
Gianna
Schupler tap
danced every
time someone
in the
audience
donated to
the American
Heart
Association.
