party at The
Children’s
Museum of
the East End
(CMEE).
“CMEE is a
great place
for kids age
2 to 12
years old.
There are so
many
interactive
exhibits for
the kids and
the design
is amazing.
We were
thrilled to
host a party
to introduce
our friends
to CMEE,”
said Bonnie.
“The Arlene
& Alan Alda
Amphitheater
is a great
place for a
show,” added
Stewart,”
CMEE does
some fun
family
entertainment
throughout
the summer.”
The guests
were
entertained
with a
concert by
Moey’s Music
Party (with
original
music by
Melissa
Levis)
adding their
vocal
talents to
the show
were
legendary
songwriter,
Ervin Drake,
Dan Rattiner,
and Dr
Stanley
Cohen. Other
performers,
provided by
Kevin at
Party Kidz,
included
Adnil’s
Tattoos,
Wendy Baner
(aka The
Pipecleaner
Lady),
caricatures,
and card
readings.
The event
was catered
by Peter
Ambrose of
Food For
Forks.
The
Children’s
Museum of
the East End
(CMEE) is a
10,000
square foot
facility
designed by
Lee H.
Skolnick
Architecture
+ Design
Partnership
and renowned
landscape
architect
Edmund
Hollander.
Interactive
exhibits are
both
permanent
and
rotating.
The
permanent
exhibit
focuses on
what makes
the East End
a special
place, with
an emphasis
on the
people and
living
creatures
who inhabit
it. Themes
include
agriculture,
fishing,
world
celebrations,
and
community.
CMEE
celebrates
its fifth
anniversary
this summer.
In addition
to the
indoor
activities,
visitors are
encouraged
to explore
outdoor
exhibits,
mazes,
gardens,
swings and a
miniature
windmill.
There is
space for
year-round
workshops,
performances,
and special
events, as
well as a
permanent
art workshop
for children
to explore
their own
creativity.
CMEE is also
available
for birthday
parties and
private
parties.
CMEE is a
non-profit
organization.
