Arts thanks

Town Board
for donating
the cash
prizes, and
the Long
Island
Aquarium for
donating the
tickets.
During
December,
Downtown
Riverhead’s
otherwise
empty
storefront
windows were
filled with
festive
scenes and
images, to
celebrate
the holiday
season.
Fifteen
local groups
and
businesses
participated
in the 2011
Holiday
Window
Decorating
Contest:
Riverside
Group, IGHL,
CRJ
Services,
Mercy-McGann
High School,
Barbara
Bilotta,
People for
the Ethical
Treatment of
Elves,
LaFace
Construction,
I Love
Riverhead,
Peconic Land
Trust, JJAM,
River &
Roots
Community
Garden,
Landsberg
Design,
Cherada
Design, The
Red
Collection,
Star
Confectionary.
Public
voting took
place from
December 4
through
December 22
at the East
End Arts
Gallery to
determine
the best
window
display.
The winning
window
display was
announced on
Tuesday,
December 27
at the
Riverhead
Town Board
Work
Session.
