Even though it rained all day, the Gods were
on the side of the Southampton Hospital
so by the time the guests arrived in their elegant gowns,
the grass was dry. Laura
Lofaro Freeman, Michael Kors and Douglas
Elliman Real Estate hosted the event and Chuck
Scarborough,
emceed.
The evening benefited the Southampton Hospital's Jenny and John Paulson Department of Emergency Services and raised 1.7 million dollars. Over 900 guests enjoyed an
elegant dinner catered by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs, and music by the
Alex Donner Orchestra.
Then tents were transformed by the imagination and creativity of Steven Stolman.
The designer brought a cool surfer vibe to the evening, with elements inspired by Sunset Beach, Surf Lodge and the beaches from Ditch Plains, to Santa Cruz. Nine artists including Charles Wildbank, Michael Dweck, Paton Miller, Thomas Dash, Jeff Muhs, Peter Dayton, Jerome Lucani, Peter Tunney and Peter Max custom designed surfboards were on display to be auctioned.
