The 38th annual Hampton Classic Horseshow opened on Sunday, August 25th and will run until Sunday, September 1st. The Hampton Classic horseshow is one of the country's largest and most spectacular hunter/jumper horseshows. The Hampton Classic Horseshow features more than 1,600 horses and almost $1,000,000 in prizes, the Hampton Classic is not only a sporting event but a social one. Over the week more than 50,000 spectators enjoy watching competitions in six show rings.
The week starts with the youngest riders competing in leadline and local riders and culminates with a $250,000 FTI Grand Prix and FEI World C Qualifier. Grand Prix Sunday also features a V.I.P. tents which hold 3000 guest served by white-coated waiters. Visitors promenade the grounds in elaborate hats mingling with riders, judges,
and celebrities.
