Parrish Art Museum Business Council's Annual
Two Forks and a Cork

The Business Council, a network of local and regional business leaders with a strong interest in promoting the vitality of the East End through support of the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton held its annual wine tasting event at the Museum featuring spectacular wines from the North and South Forks.

This year seven wineries were featured including Channing Daughters Winery, Croteaux Vineyards, Duck Walk South, Jamesport Vineyards, Palmer Vineyards, Peconic Bay Winery, and Wolffer Estates Vineyard.

A highlight of the tasting was the lovely rose offered by Michael & Paula Croteau, whose Southold Croteaux Vineyard is dedicated exclusively to the production of rose� wines. No surprise that their delicious roses� are best sellers at top restaurants such as Jean-Georges and Café Luxembourg.

Creative and absolutely scrumptious hors d�oeuvres from The Riverhead Project flowed constantly from the kitchen under the direction of Chef Gregory Ling one of the country�s premier farm to table chefs. The Riverhead Project on Main Street in Riverhead was recently named best new restaurant on Long Island by Newsday.

As always, thanks to the generosity of Donald Sullivan and the Southampton Publick House there were a variety of their award winning hand crafted beers and ales for sampling.

And for those with a sweet tooth Greenport �Dessert Queen� Miche Bacher of Mali B. Sweets offered a tempting array of her imaginative cookie creations infused with savory herbs � a chocolate wafer with a zing of chili pepper; rosemary shortbread cookies and herb scented marshmallows on a stick.

Among the crowd of several hundred were WPPB general manager Wally Smith, artist Justine Diianni, Watermill Center�s Matko Tomcic, Linda Miller of the Hamptons Creative Group, Southampton Inn�s Dede Gotthelf and Terry Moan, gallerist Tulla Booth, Southampton Town Supervisor Anna Throne-Holst, Interior designer Betsy Nichol & her husband off-Broadway producer Gary Beeber,  gallery owner Laura Grenning, Eco-activist Catherine Bedard,  Parrish Museum curator Alicia Longwell, Executive Director Terrie Sultan and Christopher French and scores more noshing and networking.
