The
Southampton
Town Shelter
was about to
close its
doors in
2010, when a
group of
local caring
citizens
stepped in
and created
the
Southampton
Animal
Shelter
Foundation.
There were
225 animals
housed at
the time and
about to be
dispersed to
other
shelters.
There would
be no place
for the
homeless
strays or
lost pets to
go. This
dedicated
group
created an
award
winning
shelter and
non-profit
known
nationwide
for its
innovative
programs.
