Air Home

marking
its 111th
year of
providing

camping
experience

challenged
children.
Once
again,
the
D-D-D
featured
live,
silent
and wine
auctions,
as well
as, a
dizzying
array of
home
furnishings
and
antiques
for
sale.
All
beautifully
displayed
in
room-like
settings
thanks
to the
creativity
of the
Design &
Decorations
Committee
who mix
new and
gently
used
furnishings
artfully.
The
showcase
rooms
featured
choice
and rare
antiques,
previously
owned
and new
furniture,
lamps,
paintings,
framed
prints,
fabrics,
decorative
accessories
and
much,
much
more.
Truly
many a
second
home has
been
decorated
by canny
purchases
here by
regular
attendees.
So
popular
is the
event �
and so
plentiful
the
bargains
� guests
flock
from
Connecticut,
Manhattan,
The
Hamptons
and Palm
Beach to
have
their
first
pick of
these
extraordinary
treasures
beautifully
displayed
by the
D-D-D
design
team and
offered
at
unbelievable
prices.
The
Silent
Auction
featured
items
from the
top
names in
fashion,
jewelry,
travel,
fine
dining,
entertainment,
sports,
health
and
beauty.
Gucci,
Tory
Burch,
Loro
Piana,
Tamara
Commolli,
Nicole
Miller
were
just a
few of
the
dozens
of
luxury
labels
available
to savvy
shoppers.
The Wine
Auction
featuring
over 60
lots
this
year is
every
oenophile�s
delight
with
such
rare
wines as
a 1982
Chateau
Lafite-Rothschild,
a case
of
Etienne
Sauzet
Montrachet
Grand
Cru 2000
and two
bottles
of
Chateau
Petrus
1983
scoring
high
bids
from
collectors.
The live
auction
featured
over a
dozen

continues

fundraising

Southampton
Fresh
Air Home
accounting
for 40%
of the
camp�s
operating
budget
each
year
thanks
to
extraordinary
leadership
and
dedicated
committees
The
Southampton
Fresh
Air Home
(SFAH)
is one
of the
few
residential
camp
facilities
in the
eastern
United
States
that
accommodates
severely
as well
as
mildly
and
moderately
physically
challenged
children
SFAH
begun in
1901 by
a small
group of
women,
wishing
to share
the
benefits
of sun
and
ocean
air with
city-bound,
physically
challenged
children
is the
East
End�s
oldest
charitable
organization.
From a
tiny
rental
house in
the
first
season
to its
current
state of
the art
facility
on
Barkers
Island
Road,
SFAH
continues
to grow,
serving
more and
more
campers
each
year.
