theme -

the Library
exhibited 10
literary
treasures
for
one-night
only,
including 3,
rarely-seen,
1st-edition
Shakespeare
folios and
an
autographed
letter of
Queen
Elizabeth I.
The
Starlight
Orchestra
provided the
entertainment
and
dancing
music.

Society

The English
Ball is a
charitable
fundraiser
that enables
the St.
George's
Society to
continue its
Beneficiary
program and
Scholarship
programs.
The
Beneficiary
program
provides
monthly
stipends to
the elderly,
handicapped,
or people in
crisis of
British or
Commonwealth
origins in
the New York
area.
The
Scholarship
program
provides
vital
scholarships
to students
of British
and
Commonwealth
heritage who
are enrolled
at Lehman
College,
part of CUNY
in the
Bronx.
