The 73rd Annual Tony Awards were presented on Sunday
June 9. I photographed many of the winners. There were
few surprises. Hadestown won Best Musical and The
Ferryman Best Play. Among the actors. Bryan
Cranston Best Actor in a Play Network and Elaine
May in The Waverly Gallery, Santino
Fontana i n
a Musical Tootsie and Stephanie J.
Block The Cher Show. Among
the individual winners, Sergio Trujillo (photo
below) won for Best Choreography for Ain't Too
Proud-The Life and Times of the Temptations, and Bob
Mackie Best Costume Design of a Musical The Cher
Show. They were all well deserved. It was the end of
another wonderful theatrical season on Broadway.
Editor Adam Kugler and Metropolitan
Magazine celebrated its High Influencers issue
with a media party at Tudor City Steakhouse, 45
Tudor City Place. Between drinks and food, the
attendees were invited to meet and photograph High

reception after the presentations.
Resident Magazine celebrated its 2019
June Cover of world-renowned hair stylist Angelo
David Pisacreta at his salon, 420 Madison
Avenue, Second floor, with a magnificent party.
The food was extraordinary with lobster
sandwiches and succulent steak bytes with
cheese, and the finest wines from a delicious
white Cote-de-Rhone to Casamigos and Don Julio
tequila. The guests were charming, and I
photographed the owner Angel David with the
lovely Luann de Lesseps ( photo below).
It was one of the best parties that I have ever
attended.
The Morgan Library and Museum held a Summer
Preview of their four exhibitions. The
curators of the the four spoke before we
attended each of them. Hogarth:
Cruelty and Humor, May 24-September 22,
Among Others: Photography and
the Group, May 31-September 22, Walt
Whitman: Bard of Democracy, June 7-September
15, 2019, and Drawing the Curtain, Maurice
Sendak's Designs for Opera and Ballet, June
14-October 6, 2019 are
a delight to the eye. Do not miss seeing all
four! Afterwards, the press was invited to
the members' reception, where we shared a
drink with them.
