historic
legacy
with a
benefit
for the
Museum
of the
City of
New York hosted
by the
Chairmen
of the
Directors
Council,
including Allison
and Tara
Rockefeller,
Mark
Gilbertson,
Nicole
Hanley
Mellon,
Celerie
Kemble
and
Andrew
Roosevelt, at
Bergdorf
Goodman's.
As over
100
guests
arrived
at the
Good
Dish
Café on
the
Beauty
Floor,
they
were
greeted
with
glasses
of Veuve
Clicquot
and
bottles
of JEAN
PATOU's
legendary
scents,
including JOY,
JOY
Forever,
1000 and Sublime,
which
they
were
able to
spritz
and
sample.
Guests
also met
with Thomas
Fontaine, JEAN
PATOU’s
legendary
perfumer
who
answered
guests'
questions
about
the
scents
and
trends
within
the
perfume
industry.
Midway
through,
guests

finished
by
welcoming
Thomas
Fontaine
to the
stage
who gave
a short
history
of JEAN
PATOU
and
described
how the
designer
was an
innovator;
a
creator
of the
first
unisex
scent,
the
first
tanning
oil and
the
first
lipstick.
Fontaine
then
spoke
about
how JOY
became
known as
the
costliest
fragrance
in the
world
through
its use
of rare
Jasmine
Grasse,
and how
JOY
Forever
was
developed
as a way
of
continuing
JEAN
PATOU's
legendary
fragrance
heritage.
