2013, the
Police
Athletic
League (PAL)
hosted its
Eighth
Annual Real
Estate &
Construction
Luncheon,
celebrating
Columbia
University,
Fordham
University
and St.
John’s
University
for their
commitment
to New York
City’s
children and
their impact
on the urban
landscape.
The
luncheon,
held at The
Pierre,
welcomed
over 530
guests and
raised
$460,000 for
PAL.
“We are
proud to
celebrate
such
distinguished
universities
for their
significant
contributions
to the
growth and
landscape of
our City,”
said John B.
Osborn,
President of
PAL.
“Through
their real
estate
direction,
they have
transformed
and expanded
communities
surrounding
their
campuses
and, in
turn, areas
in which
PAL’s
state-of-the-art
youth
centers are
located. In
addition,
these model
universities
have brought
the highest
quality
education to
students of
modest
backgrounds,
including
countless
PAL alumni.”
The event
included a
special
recognition
to PAL
Graduates of
Distinction,
including
Hon. Luis

Robert J.

St. John’s

Police
Athletic
League has

and
improving
the lives of
children,
teenagers
and their

academic and
cultural
opportunities
that they
would
