2011
nominations
for
excellence
in
dance
and
choreography
on
Broadway
and
in
film.
This
event
was
held
at
the
opulent
and
legendary
Firebird
Restaurant
on
Restaurant
Row
and
with
the
world
fame
of
this
year's
film,
Black
Swan,
this
Russian
townhouse
had
the
perfect
ambiance.
Over
one
hundred
guests
from
theater
and
film
attended
and
including
dancers,
choreographers,
directors
and
producers.
The
Firebird
served
hors
d'oeuvres
such
as
salmon
mouse,
chicken
Kiev
and
blini
with
caviar.
The
Astaire
Committee
consisted
of
Anna
Kisselgoff,
Sylviane
Gold,
Wendy
Perron,
Lee
Roy
Reame
and
Damian
Woetzel.
Legendary
dancer,
choreographer
and
teacher
Jacques
d'Ambrose
will
receive
the
2011
Douglas
Watt
Lifetime
Achievement
Award.
