Where: The Breakers
Hotel, Palm Beach
When: Friday,
February 14, 2014
On Valentine’s Day
the American Heart Association hosted its annual 2014 Heart
Ball. This year will mark the 59th celebration of
the Heart Ball in Palm Beach.
Infamous designer,
Christian Siriano, flew in from New York to attend the ball.
He was accompanied by a slew of models, sporting his newest
designs. The models were elevated on pedestals and adorned
in his custom designs.
Following the
cocktail hour, guests proceeded to the ballroom and jaws
dropped over the pink wonderland designed by Michael
Ereshena.
There was also a
live diamond cutting demonstration provided by Diamante
Atelier, top supporters of the Palm Beach Heart Ball. The
live auction was truly a highlight of the evening, which
climaxed to a bidding war over the grand finale item, a
diamond cocktail ring donated by Diamante Atelier. Tim Luke,
who many guests recognized from HGTV, Cash in the Attic and
Antique Roadshow, kept the audience in stitches throughout
the evening. He served as emcee and auctioneer.
Julie Rudolph,
chairman, gave a touching story of why she supports the
American Heart Association and encouraged guests to get
involved as well.
The evening
concluded as guests danced until the wee hours. Palm
Beachers love a live band!
Heart Disease is the
#1 killer of women and the guests shared stories about their
personal connection to heart and how important this cause is
to them. By 2020 the American Heart Association is striving
to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by
20%, while reducing deaths from cardiovascular diseases and
stroke by 20%. It is through the support of these ambitious
Chairmen that are turning this goal into a reality.
