The
Raymond F. Kravis Center
for the Performing Arts
recently completed the current
Lunch & Learn
lecture series by presenting
ABOUT FACE: On Why Beauty
is Ageless
with
Adrien Arpel,
who has been
an icon in the cosmetic industry for more than 30 years
and is widely recognized as a highly successful role
model for women.
More than 200 people
attended this fascinating Lunch & Learn lecture,
sponsored by
Leona F. Chanin,
that focused on the life and career of Ms. Arpel, the
founder
of one of the most
recognized and respected cosmetic and skin care lines in
the world.
The creator, Chief
Executive Officer and on air spokesperson for the Home
Shopping Network’s sales sensation Signature Club A,
which she positions as “The World’s Largest TV Beauty
Classroom,” Ms. Arpel also is the originator of the
Beauty Makeover concept and a best selling author ( How
to Look 10 Years Younger).
In an interview with
former dancer and ballet photographer
Steven Caras,
the subject of a new documentary by Arizona PBS, Ms.
Arpel shared behind the scenes stories about her career
and family, and she offered valuable beauty tips about
selecting age-appropriate makeup and fashions, and how
to stay “atop trends” by personally adapting them.
Chaired by
Lee Wolf
and presented as an
ArtSmart / Kravis Center
Cultural Society
event, this Lunch & Learn Lecture was held in the
Roberta & Stephen R. Weiner Banquet Center and included
a scrumptious lunch prepared by
Special Impressions at
the Kravis Center, Catering by The Breakers.
