WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (October 6, 2011)
— CityPlace joined with
worldwide retailers on Sept. 8 to celebrate Fashion’s
Night Out, the global after-hours shopping party that
combined fashion with philanthropy. Hundreds of
shoppers came to CityPlace to participate in the
in-store special events and view a fashion show inside
The Harriet Himmel Theater. The night also featured big
ticket raffle giveaways for CityPlace shopping sprees
and spa trips, a $700 weekend getaway to the Omni
Orlando Resort and more, helping to raise more than
$5,000 benefit the Palm Beach State College Foundation.
In-store parties throughout the property offered
exclusive incentives, music, fall style tips and makeup
trends.
The highlight of the evening was the transformation of
The Harriet Himmel Theater into a spectacular runway
that featured many of the latest fashions as seen in
CityPlace shops. Local celebrities seen along the
catwalk included West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio,
former Mayor Lois Frankel, Palm Beach State College
President Dr. Dennis Gallon, 97.9 WRMF morning show
hosts Deena Lang and Jennifer Ross, WFLX Fox 29’s Rachel
Leigh, The Palm Beach Post’s Leslie Gray
Streeter, Palm Beach State College Foundation members
and others models from the community. The fashion show
also featured more unique CityPlace styles in a showcase
of wearable art from the Eg2 Gallery, created
by aspiring student designers from unconventional
materials found throughout CityPlace. Among the original
designs were a gown and handbag created from Publix
plastic bags, and Sephora and Starbucks-inspired
dresses.
Participating shops included
Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Francesca’s
Collections, Gap, Macy’s, Nine West, Sephora and White
House

Black Market. Sweet and savory light bites served in the
shops were provided by Panera Bread, Taverna Opa, Sugar
Chef, Il Bellagio, Carlos’n Charlie’s, Blue Martini,
Brewzzi and B.B. King’s Blues Club.
