HOSPICE OF PALM BEACH
COUNTY FOUNDATION HOSTS SUCCESSFUL
FOURTH ANNUAL SWING WITH THE STARS
CELEBRITY PRO-AM
GOLF TOURNAMENT |
Palm Beach Gardens, FL – Golf superstars,
sports legends and celebrities joined together in support of
Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation’s Fourth Annual
Swing with the Stars Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Tournament. The
weekend was held at the renowned PGA National Resort & Spa
on Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15, 2012.
Festivities kicked-off Friday evening with a Speak Easy,
presented by Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in the Grand
Ballroom. Golfers and non-golfers enjoyed exquisite cuisine,
sipped on signature cocktails at the exclusive Nolet’s
Silver Dry Gin Ice Bar, and mingled with sports legends.
Guests also bid on both live and silent auctions which
featured spectacular vacations, spa treatments, incredible
jewelry and golf outings, even a trip to New York City for a
behind-the-scene tour of the Today Show!
On Saturday, the field was limited to only 100 golfers,
allowing attendees to fully enjoy playing with the champions
on the newly renovated Fazio Course. Following the day on
the course, golfers unwound during the Leisure Time Coins
Awards Luncheon. Professional golfers in attendance
included: Jean Bartholomew; Michelle McGann; Bob Murphy; and
Jackie Gallagher Smith. The winning foursome was: Taylor
Collins; Bill Cunningham; Oscar Ganem; and Adam Tsakonas;
with Pro Les Wally.
“It was a great weekend! The Speak Easy was a big hit and we
had a fantastic day on the links,” said Foundation
President, Greg Leach. “I thank all of our attendees and
sponsors for their generous support. All proceeds benefit
the Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation and will help to
ensure that we can continue to help so many in their time of
greatest need.”
The Fourth Annual Swing with the Stars Celebrity Pro-Am Golf
Tournament was made possible by the generous support of our
sponsors: AMG Marketing Group, Dignity Memorial, ESPN Radio
760 AM, Isador S. Segall Trust, Nolet’s Silver Dry Gin, Palm
