Pride Roars with Passion, Power, Philanthropy at Lion
Luncheon
400 of the
Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County’s passionate
"pride" came together for their annual ingathering on
February 17, 2011. Their powerful roar from The Polo Club on
February 17th continues to resound throughout the community
and across the globe - wherever the Lions are making a
profound difference to those in
need.
Philanthropic women of all ages who represented $3.4 million
in annual gifts, took in keynote speaker DoSomething.com CEO
and Dress for Success founder Nancy Lublin’s “Things my
Bubbie Taught Me,” and her critical message about engaging
younger generations. Deputy Consul General from Israel
Paul Hirschson gave a riveting Middle East update.
And, with
pride and tears, they viewed a "herstory" of their past
local Women's Philanthropy leaders. Chaired by
Dale Pratt and Judi Schuman, the luncheon was dedicated to
the memory of pioneering past Women’s Division President
Della Rosenberg.
