The Palm Beach Heart Ball
Celebrates Six Decades of
Tradition, Generosity, and Medical Advancements
On February 13, 2015, Palm Beach Heart Ball Co-Chairwomen,
Kathryn C. Vecellio, Julie Rudolph, Judi Richards, Monika
Preston, Sharon O’Neil, Annie Falk, Hermé de Wyman Miro,
Margarita Allinson and Lee Ann Alderton, along with 450
distinguished guests, formally celebrated the 60th
anniversary of the Palm Beach Heart Ball. The Venetian Ballroom
of the Breakers Hotel was transformed into L’Orangerie de
Versailles, and guests danced the evening away to music
performed by Soul Survivor.
The prestigious Co-Chairwomen of the 60th Annual Palm
Beach Heart Ball are members of the Go Red for Women Founder’s
Circle, a group of influential women, who are very passionate
about women’s heart health in their local community. The
Founder’s Circle impacts women by empowering them to live longer
healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
American Heart Association CEO, Nancy Brown, was in attendance
and thanked the Founder’s Circle, Co-chairwomen and volunteers
for their gracious dedication and support of the Palm Beach
Heart Ball and the mission of the American Heart Association.
Over the past sixty years, the Palm Beach Heart Ball has
progressed into a premier social event, known in Palm Beach and
around the country for its elegant style and sophistication.
Palm Beach’s leading families have been loyal supporters of the
Palm Beach Heart Ball, and some guests and honorary chairmen
have included, Errol Flynn, Joan Crawford, Hugh O’Brian (Wyatt
Earp), Perry Como, Bob Hope, Dr. Christiaan Barnard, legendary
boxer Jack Dempsey, Edith Ford, Senator Jack Kennedy; Curt Gowdy,
Mary Sanford, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Frank Sinatra, Bev Smith, Esteé
Lauder, Elizabeth Arden and Lilly Pulitzer.
The American Heart Association hosts the ball in order to
increase awareness and continue its mission of building
healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
